The Victory Cup Initiative recently held their annual Storytelling Showcase at the Rollins College Ted and Harold Alfond Sports Center. The event provides an opportunity for charitable organizations to tell their stories; build their strategies; and partner with business and community leaders to make a difference in Central Florida. Dean Mead is pleased to be a 2019 event sponsor. Additionally, Dean Mead tax attorney Jane Callahan is a member of the Board of Directors for the Victory Cup Initiative.
During this year’s event, 10 Central Florida nonprofit organizations were given the opportunity to share stories about their missions and contributions to the community. At the end of the presentations, the audience voted for the winners.
1st Place winner of $20,000: Camaraderie Foundation
2nd Place winner of $15,000: Chance to Dance
3rd Place winner of $10,000: The Jobs Partnership of Florida
Seven additional contestants who received a $1,000 award were Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center, Conductive Education Center of Orlando, Edgewood Children’s Ranch, IMPOWER, Matthew’s Hope Ministries, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and Victim Service Center of Central Florida.
