(Orlando, FL) On July 3, a Federal court judge ruled against the implementation of the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) non-compete Rule. In the article “FTC Non-Compete Meets Setback” attorney Nichole Mooney reviews the judge’s decision and its impact on employer enforcement of non-compete agreements.
The author writes U.S. District Court Judge Ada E. Brown’s decision “temporarily stopped the FTC from implementing or enforcing the ban” for the plaintiffs in the case, noting the Rule remains as-is for the rest of the nation … Employers must proceed as if the ban will become effective on September 4, 2024.”
The Rule would prohibit most employers from entering into or enforcing non-compete agreements with workers. To learn more about the Rule visit: bit.ly/3LoYk0j. To “FTC Non-compete Meets Setback” visit: bit.ly/3S8RpMi.
