Attorney Thomas Wert Recipient of The Florida Bar Tony Boggs Excellence in Discipline Award

(Orlando, FL) During the General Assembly on June 21 at The Florida Bar Annual Convention, attorney Thomas Wert was awarded the Tony Boggs Excellent in Discipline Award. According to The Florida Bar, the award recognizes dedication, integrity, intellectual excellence, and extraordinary work in and on behalf of the lawyer discipline efforts of The Florida Bar.

Tom was recognized with this award for his service as co-chair of The Florida Bar Board of Governors Discipline Review Committee. Established to oversee attorney discipline for all members of The Florida Bar, the Committee makes recommendations to the Florida Supreme Court concerning attorney discipline cases.

The Florida Bar President Scott Westheimer shared Tom received this recognition for “humbly serving to improve the disciplinary process”, commenting on Tom’s “unwavering commitment to uphold the principles of fairness, integrity, and accountability.”
