Joining Steve Hamic, CPA and Managing Partner at Hamic, Previte & Sturwold, P.A., the three panelists addressed questions posed by Tyler Davis, President of Saunders Real Estate, concerning: 1031 exchange timelines and anticipated changes, the current status of the Corporate Transparency Act and extension of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (“TCJA”), and estate taxes.

Shared Austin, “In 2024, Hurricanes Helene and Milton impacted areas across the Southeast. In response, the IRS provided eligible taxpayers with certain relief and deadline extensions.”

Speaking to what is anticipated regarding the TCJA, Michael shared “It will be a very interesting year. I anticipate a shift out of liquid markets into real estate. If we are able to reboot TCJA legislation, be on the lookout for opportunity zones.”
