Tim Sobczak is a Shareholder in Dean Mead’s Orlando Litigation Department. He focuses his practice in a variety of general civil litigation matters, including contract and business disputes, real estate litigation, landlord and tenant litigation, trusts and estates litigation and construction litigation.

Brian Stephens practices in Dean Mead’s Real Estate department. He works with businesses and developers in various aspects of commercial and residential real estate, leasing, financing, land use, title claims and growth management. Prior to joining Dean Mead, Mr. Stephens worked in a commercial real estate brokerage in Martin, St. Lucie and Palm Beach counties where he brokered deals for the sale, purchase, and lease of commercial land and buildings. Mr. Van Heyde is a shareholder in the Orlando office. He represents a wide variety of clients with respect to their tax qualified retirement plans, including ESOPs, 401(k) and defined benefit pension plans, non-qualified plans of deferred compensation, stock option and other equity based compensation plans, health and welfare benefit plans, cafeteria plans, COBRA health care continuation coverage compliance, and other employee fringe benefit matters.

Mr. Van Heyde is nationally recognized in the formation of ESOPs and their use in business succession and estate planning. He has spoken across the country at various conferences of The ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO).

In addition to his employee benefits expertise, Mr. Van Heyde represents a significant number of Central Florida based companies with respect to their general corporate matters, including the preparation and review of their employment agreements, termination and severance agreements, shareholder agreements, stock and asset purchase agreements and general corporate compliance documentation.

Mr. Van Heyde is a member of the Real Estate department in Orlando. His practice focuses on complex commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, land development and financing. He has extensive experience representing owners and developers in the acquisition, development, and disposition of real estate, including mixed-use, industrial and multi-tenant retail projects. Van Heyde also frequently represents lenders and borrowers in negotiating, structuring and documenting real estate acquisition, development and construction financing, as well as working capital and general corporate loans.

Mr. Wallace is Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department and is Board Certified in Real Estate Law by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization. He has extensive experience in counseling clients on all aspects of the acquisition, disposition, development, financing, leasing and operation of commercial properties, ranging from agricultural to mixed-use urban infill. Through his frequent representation of real estate professionals in large, complex real estate transactions, Mr. Wallace has become proficient in dealing with a wide variety of real property-related legal matters including title insurance, Florida ad valorem and transaction taxes, 1031 tax free exchanges, and the drafting and negotiation of real estate purchase and sale agreements, easements, leases, property management agreements, and declarations of covenants, conditions and restrictions. Mr. Wallace also serves as special real estate counsel for a major public Florida university.
