Bob Mead was quoted in the article titled, Celebrating The Power of Giving, featured in the September edition of COMmunique, published by the UCF College of Medicine. Mead was a guest speaker at the medical school’s Scholarship Reception held at the new UCF Lake Nona Cancer Center on September 12. The event honored current scholarship recipients including Gene Liu, the recipient of The Robert W. Mead, Jr. Scholarship presented by Dean Mead.

“We hope this gift in the short term will alleviate the financial burden and allow the students to focus on learning,” Mead said. “In the long term, we hope this scholarship will inspire students to give back to the Central Florida community and empower young physicians to make a difference in the lives of others.”
