Fort Pierce, Fla. – Brad Gould was elected to the Board of Governors of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) on May 10, 2012. His two year term as a Member-at-Large will begin on July 1, 2012. The FICPA’s governing body – the Board of Governors – has 36 voting members and is comprised of six regional representatives, 19 members-at-large, the three most recent past presidents and the eight members of the Executive Committee.
Gould is a shareholder in Dean Mead’s Fort Pierce office. He practices in the area of federal income, estate, and gift tax law and family business succession planning and represents businesses and business owners in all types of corporate and tax matters, including choice of entity, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and other general business matters. Gould represents individuals, companies and fiduciaries before the Internal Revenue Service. In addition to being an attorney, he is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Gould received his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, with honors, in 2001. He received his Master of Accounting and his Bachelor of Science degrees in 1998 from the University of Florida.
He has been a frequent presenter at FICPA seminars around the state and has provided exemplary leadership for numerous FICPA conferences such as the University of Florida Annual Accounting Conference and the Florida Institute on Federal Tax. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Gould was a CPA at the international accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche.
