Fort Pierce, Fla. – Brad Gould – a shareholder at the law firm of Dean, Mead, Minton & Zwemer – was a speaker at the University of Florida Accounting Conference presented by the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) on October 6, 2017 in Gainesville, Florida. His topic was titled, Estate and Trust Accountings.
Gould practices in the areas of federal income, estate, and gift tax law and business succession planning and concentrates on business and tax law issues, especially those involving closely held business organizations (S corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies), and their owners. Gould represents businesses and business owners in all types of business and tax matters, including entity selection, reorganization, and governance. He routinely counsels business owners and other clients on estate and asset preservation planning matters. In addition, he represents individuals, businesses and fiduciaries before the Internal Revenue Service and trustees, personal representatives and family members in disputes over wills, trusts and estates. Currently, Gould serves as Vice-Chair of the S Corporations Committee of the American Bar Association’s Tax Section and a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
Gould is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences, including those sponsored by the American Bar Association Tax Section, FICPA, and the American Academy of Attorney-CPAs. Also, he has authored several articles for legal industry publications.
Gould earned his law degree in 2001 from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in accounting from the University of Florida in 1998.
