(Orlando, FL) Dean Mead is proud to announce Kathleen M. Hugo and James “Jim” A. Timko have been elected as the firm’s newest Shareholders. As a member of the firm’s Real Estate Department, Kathleen’s practice focuses on real estate sales and acquisitions, leasing, and land development. A member of the firm’s Litigation Department, Jim’s practice focuses on bankruptcy and creditor’s rights and commercial litigation.

Representing clients from the firm’s Orlando office, Kathleen focus is on complex real estate transactions and leasing and land development for residential and commercial clients. A national speaker and author or creditors’ rights and bankruptcy law, Jim is a current board member and former President of the Florida chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, and he is on the board of the Central Florida Bankruptcy Lawyers’ Association. His clients include parties in commercial litigation, receivers, assignees in assignments for benefit of creditors, companies being taken through the restructuring process, creditors’ committees in chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, asset purchasers, secured and unsecured creditors, landlords, and parties-in-interest in all aspects of corporate chapter 7 and chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. He received his Juris Doctor with honors from Emory University, clerked for the honorable Leslie Tchaikovsky in the United States Bankruptcy Court in the Northern District of California, and was the Executive Articles Editor for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal.
