Fort Pierce, Fla. – Brad Gould – a shareholder at the law firm of Dean, Mead, Minton & Zwemer – recently served as the moderator for the Current Developments Program given by the S Corporation Committee of the Section of Taxation of the American Bar Association (ABA). The program was presented at the ABA Section of Taxation and Section of Real Property, Trust & Estate Law, Trust & Estate Division 2015 Joint Fall CLE Meeting on September 18, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois.
Gould’s presentation covered recent legislative, administrative, and judicial developments relating to S corporations. His co-presenters were Bryan Keith of Grant Thornton, LLP, Washington, D.C. and Michala Irons of Barnes and Thornburg, LLP, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Gould practices in the area of federal income, estate, and gift tax law and business succession planning. He represents businesses and business owners in all types of business and tax matters, including choice of entity, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and other general business matters. Gould represents individuals, businesses and fiduciaries before the Internal Revenue Service and also counsels clients on estate and wealth preservation planning matters. Gould is an active member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, where he has served on the Board of Governors since 2012 and joined its Executive Committee in July 2015. He’s an attorney and a licensed CPA.
Gould received his law degree in 2001 from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in accounting from the University of Florida in 1998.
