Dean Mead SALT attorney, French Brown, was recently quoted in the article, Lobbyists for Amazon, Walmart and other big businesses are writing a law to collect Florida sales tax online, published on September 25, 2019 in the Orlando Sentinel.
The article highlights proposed legislation that would ensure Florida shoppers are paying sales tax on most online purchases. Brown, a lobbyist for the Florida Retail Federation, calls the bill a starting point and that the organization would not necessarily oppose changes.
