(Orlando, FL) In her ongoing updates of the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC’s) Rule banning non-compete agreements, which was scheduled to become effective September 4, 2024, attorney Nichole Mooney publishes “Employers Celebrate: FTC Non-Compete Ban Blocked by Federal Judge.”
On August 20, 2024, Judge Ada Brown of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas ruled the FTC overstepped its power when it announced the non-compete rule. The Rule would have eliminated non-compete agreements, affecting an estimated 30 million Americans.
