On Monday May 9, Indian River State College (IRSC) will award 2016 Take Stock In Children (TSIC) scholarships to 44 deserving middle and high school students from area schools in the Treasure Coast. Now in its 20th year, the program will also acknowledge the accomplishments of 49 high school graduates and 29 IRSC graduates who participated in the program. The special recognition ceremony will be held in the McAlpin Fine Arts Center (IRSC’s Main Campus) in Fort Pierce at 7:00 P.M.
Columnist, Anthony Westbury, authored the article “Take Stock in Children makes dreams come true” that was published in TCPalm on April 21, 2016. His article tells the success stories of two scholarship recipients who are the first in their families to graduate college.
Dean Mead has been a proud supporter of the Take Stock In Children (TSIC) scholarship program with the Indian River State College (IRSC) since inception. Shareholder Michael Minton invites you to join us as we celebrate “the best evening of the year!”
