Lee Dobbins’ clients King’s Landing and Willow Lakes Resort Village and Surf Park, are each one step closer to final approval after the City Commission gave unanimous first approval for the first phase of construction for each project. A final vote is expected next month, according to City officials.
King’s Landing, covering 3 blocks of downtown Ft. Pierce, will include a destination hotel, ten story river-front residential tower, retail and restaurant spaces, which will help funnel tourism dollars into downtown.
The Willow Lakes Resort Village will include a WaveGarden surf lagoon and will be “the world’s largest surf park”. The project will be an exciting and unique tourist attraction for Ft. Pierce and will tout a man-made surf lagoon, two hotels, 28 vacation rental villas, and a large entertainment and retail hub. Dean Mead’s Tallahassee office and the Government Relations team were instrumental in getting key legislation passed to allow the project to move forward.
Lee Dobbins is the managing shareholder for the Ft. Pierce office of Dean Mead and practices Land Use and Zoning Law. The Tallahassee Government Relations team assisted Lee by passing a bill in 2020 that updated regulations and allowed the WaveGarden surf lagoon to be built.
