Dean Mead recently sponsored the 7th Annual March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction on October 6, 2015 at the Hilton Rialto in Melbourne, Florida. Michelle L. Naberhaus and Robert J. Naberhaus III, attorneys in Dean Mead’s Estate and Succession Planning department, served as Chairs of the event that raised more than $100,000 for the campaign to end prematurity.
The event was an epicurean showcase, featuring Brevard’s top culinary masters who graciously volunteered their time and talent to create the unique food experience. Some of the star chefs at the event included Lead Chef Josh Eslinger of Crush Eleven, Dave Dashi of Amici’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria, Chef Jeff Kainz, Ocean 302 Bar & Grill and Chef Nate St. Denis of The Fat Snook who took home the “People’s Choice Award.”
“Knowing that families have gone through the experience of having a premature baby really tugs at my heart,” said Rob Naberhaus. “As Lead Chairs for the event fundraiser, our eyes certainly were opened to all the research performed by the March of Dimes over the past decade – from all the tests that are done during pregnancy to all the screening done on babies after birth. Although none of our children were born premature, all five benefitted from these tests.”
