Senator Thad Altman

Senator Altman jumpstarted his political career as Brevard County Commissioner from 1985-1992. Additionally, he served as part of the Regional Planning Council in 1986, 1987 and 1992. During a Special Election in 2003, Senator Altman was voted into the Florida House of Representatives to represent District 30, where he served until November 2008 when he was elected into the Florida Senate. He was subsequently reelected in November 2010.

Representative Tom Goodson

Representative Tom Goodson was first elected to the chamber of the Florida House of Representatives representing District 29 in 2010. When Florida House districts were reconfigured in 2012, he was subsequently reelected to the newly created 50th District. Representative Goodson also served on the Canaveral Port Authority from 2002 to 2010.

Peter Dunbar

Peter Dunbar is chair of Dean Mead’s Governmental Relations, Lobbying and Administrative Law Industry Team in the firm’s Tallahassee office. He began his career in Florida government in 1967 as staff director in the Florida House of Representatives. Mr. Dunbar later served for five terms as a distinguished member of the Florida House representing Pinellas and Pasco counties in the Florida Legislature. Upon leaving the Legislature, he held the posts of General Counsel and Director of Legislative Affairs under Governor Bob Martinez and as General Counsel at the Department of Financial Services. Mr. Dunbar served as Chief of Staff during the transition from the Martinez administration to the administration of Governor Lawton Chiles, and he is former Chairman and two-term member of the Florida Ethics Commission.

R. Mason Blake

R. Mason Blake has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, business, environmental and land use law. He has an extensive legal career working in Brevard County where he represents clients in a variety of complex real estate and business matters, specializing in the development of large, mixed-use communities. He has also served for nearly 15 years as the principal counsel for a major private university in Florida. He is also Board Certified in Real Estate Law by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization.

Martha J. Edenfield

Martha J. Edenfield focuses her practice on governmental affairs, environmental land use and administrative law. Now in her 30th year of private law practice in Tallahassee, she has gained a wide variety of experience representing clients before the Florida Legislature, the Governor, the Cabinet and state agencies. Ms. Edenfield utilizes her political leadership skills to advocate for her clients and coordinate a legislative team. Ms. Edenfield has extensive experience as legal and governmental counsel for agricultural trade groups, industrial associations, medical professionals and local governments.

Laura Minton Young

Laura Minton Young represents individuals, businesses and banks in various aspects of commercial and residential real estate and financing including development, acquisitions, sales, leasing, lending, work outs, land use and growth management and agribusiness matters.
