Steve Looney to speak at the ABA Tax Section Meeting in Orlando on S Corporations

Steve Looney, shareholder and chair of Dean Mead’s Tax department, will be speaking at the ABA Tax Section meeting in Orlando on Friday, January 25, 2013. A description of his presentation is as follows:

“S Corporation Compensation Reclassification Risks”.  This panel will discuss “unreasonable compensation” in an S corporation context, the potential reclassification of distributions as compensation subject to payroll tax liability, and the application of the independent investor test.
